This is Lois Lane, played by Kate Bosworth, from the Superman movie in front of the Daily Planet. It is an oil painting done in 12 straight hours. My back kind of gave out in the end after sitting on a stool for that long. It was done a few months ago and is now framed. It has been a favorite locally for people in the art deparment at my university and people that see it when I displayed at work or anywhere else around here.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. To help support the Literature community we hold regular contests. It is an opportunity for you to get involved and gain some exposure. Contest winners will be featured in a news article and a journal entry--as well as other fabulous prizes.
